Synopsis

Venus in Furs is part of the unfinished series of novels Legacy of Cain created by Austrian author Leopold von Sacher-Masoch. Venus in Furs narrates the story of Severin von Kusiemski, whose extreme infatuation with Wanda von Dunajew provoked him to ask her to treat him as a slave. The pair find it super-sensual and they move to Florence for more pleasures. In Florence Severin is identified as her slave named Gregor. The relationship lead to a jeopardy when Severin was treated so brutally not only by Florence, but even by her new Byronic hero Alexis Papadopolis.
