Synopsis
William Makepeace Thackeray portrays the 19th century English society in a satirical tone with his classic novel Vanity Fair. The story opens up with two young girls Becky Sharp and Amelia Sedley depart to their native after completing the studies. It is hard to believe how they became close friends with their ironical characters. Amelia believes in moral values, love and affection while Becky is cunning, selfish and immoral. Invited by Amelia to stay in her house, Becky starts seducing Amelia's brother and fiancee George. Through out the novel Becky makes everybody's life miserable including her friend Amelia by having extra-martial affairs with George.
