Synopsis

The Purchase of the North Pole or Topsy-Turvy is a science fiction novel by Jules Verne starring his early heroes of Baltimore Gun Club. This time the Club members have more ambitious plans to the extent of tilting the earth-axis and control the climate. Unanimously participating in international auction of sovereign rights to Arctic, the club succeeds in the Bid. If their plan succeeds, it would cause the western world to gain more lands and southern region with floods. In turn they could create huge wealth from coal mines which could easily be unearthed from the region. Did their secret plan executed?.
