Synopsis
Mark Twain's lesser known novel The Tragedy of Pudd'nhead Wilson narrates the story of identity exchange of children of a slave and master. Chambers, son of the slave leads the royal life and spoiling himself getting disinherited by Aristocrat Driscoll. Tom, son of Driscoll is brought up as slave, however with his inborn talents, he becomes a lawyer. However being the son of slave, his capabilities are not accepted in the society. In the preceding incidents he proves in the court of law and inherits Driscoll's wealth. His new aristocratic life is ironical to him leading to state of he is neither accepted in the aristocratic society nor by the Slaves.Similar Bookshelves
