Synopsis
Nathaniel Hawthorne's magnum opus The Scarlet Letter is a historical romance novel with the themes of morality, adultery, sin and guilt. Hester Prynne, a young woman who could not trace his husband for a long time thought he is not alive. She gives birth to a girl child and is about to be punished by public humiliation and wearing a letter "A". Refusing to name the father of the child, she looks at the gathered crowd and shocked to know his husband is in the crowd. Her husband provokes the crowd to punish the father of the child also.
