Synopsis

Selfish and greedy people always look to accumulate their wealth at any cost. Dickens narrates the lives of such wealthy families through his novel The Life and Adventures of Martin Chuzzlewit. Young Mary Graham's employment as nurse to care Martin Sr. would be at stake, if his health deteriorates. Martin proposes to marry Mary Graham, his grandfather's home nurse and jeopardize his control over her only income source. Seth Pecksniff, an extended Chuzzlewit family member, offer employment to Martin as architect, though his plans were to inherit the property by marrying one of his daughters with Martin. Pecksniff had possessed large wealth from Tom Pinch's grandmother, by promising her to make Tom an architect. Tom never realizes the true colors of Pecksniff and is working as a low profile employee. Pecksniff with Jonas opens an insurance scam and many innocents people are victimized. The novel ends of Martin and his grandfather reconciling to defeat the Pecksniff's plans to inherit the assets.
