Synopsis
Geoffrey Chaucer's magnum opus The Canterbury Tales is a collection of stories which portrayed 14th century English society and the Church. The author present the tales as part of the story telling contest participated by a group of pilgrims during their travel from Southwark to the shrine of Saint Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral.
