Synopsis

Oliver Goldsmith's comedy She Stoops to Conquer deals with marriage, society and human tendencies. In an attempt to impress others the bride and groom pretends their real identities. While the bride knows it early and acts as a maid, the groom isn't. Their meeting in an Inn lead to humorous incidents. Charles Marlow exchanges his identity with his friend in attempt to know about his fiancee Kate. Kate's family has been informed about Charle's plan and his intentions to marry a simple girl. Kate acts a maid and succeed in winning the heart of Charles. All dramas wrapped up in the end by the families leading to the wedding of Charle and Kate.
