The spelling mistake in the title of Love and Freindship is not an error rather young Jane Austen's juvenile English fluency when she wrote this novel at fourteen. Nevertheless her trademark humor and romantic sensibility could be witnessed in this novel, though she went on to expand dramatically in characters of her later novels.
