Synopsis
Facing the Flag is patriotic novel by Jules Verne, in which he explores the threat to the world through inventions of weapons of mass destruction. French inventor Thomas Roch runs out of capital for his incomplete idea of designing a super-weapon. While none of the super-power nations are ready to buy his idea, he succumb to a Pirate group which offered huge monetary value. Under the custody of the Pirates in a secret Island, his idea was successfully test fired on a British Ship.
