Synopsis

Written during American Civil War,  A dead Man’s dream or An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge is top of the short stories which brings out Ambrose Bierce's unique style of narration which abandon linear narration in favor of internal mind. Confederate sympathizer Peyton Farquhar has been trapped by a soldier who made him to visit Owl Creek Bridge stating repair work in progress.  On standing at the bridge, he gets arrested on charges of attempting to explode the bridge and convicted to be hanged on the bridge. While the ropes tied up, he could visualize the rope gets broken and he falls on the river. Did the rope really broken, could he escape?. Expect an unexpected twist in this story, which makes Ambrose, an unique story teller.
